Kari Fillmore, MSW, NCG
Kari received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 1995 and has an extensive background in the areas of child and adult protection, as well as international non-profit work. She became a National Certified Guardian in 2016, and is a member of the National Guardianship Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Guardianship Association. She believes strongly in a holistic approach to care, including promoting a client's participation as much as possible. Current needs, past wishes, and an ongoing evaluation of strengths, challenges, and interests all play a vital role in every client’s situation. It’s her job to promote self-determination and advocate for a client while ensuring the best possible care and level of safety. When appropriate, reaching out to family, friends, and others involved with a client provides a well-rounded team approach to care management and guardianship.
Anna Smith, LCSW
Anna earned a Master's degree in Social Work at Florida State University and soon after moved to Denver to begin her career in Social Work, starting with Hospice and Grief Work. She spent two years working in Hospice, companioning the dying and their families through the end of life providing resources, emotional support, and a hand to hold for the dying and their families. She also worked as a Bereavement Coordinator to provide support to families whose loved ones passed during Hospice care. Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Before starting Social Work, she also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician working alongside children with autism to support their social and learning skills development. Her roots sprang from her childhood when her father had her recite daily "I am a defender of the weak and protector of the innocent." This mantra has stayed with her through the years and has led her to a life of compassion and advocacy for others.
Molly Jones, MSW
Molly Jones is a dedicated and empathetic social worker with ten years of enriching experience in the field. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Family Life Education focusing on Gerontology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013. She obtained a Masters in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Over the years, Molly has worked in health and human services, child protection, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care settings, community outreach, and maintained a private therapeutic practice. Populations served include children, adolescents, adults of all ages, families, and first responders. Molly is a dedicated and committed social worker whose passion lies in helping others foster positive change in their lives and ensure the highest quality of life possible.

Terelle Travis
Terelle received his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University and brings extensive experience in case management and advocacy for underserved communities. A recipient of the Interline Scholarship—awarded to students dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities—Terelle has built his career on empowering others.
In 2013, he contributed to a pilot program in the State of Ohio called Connecting The Dots, mentoring youth and collecting data to help reduce homelessness, incarceration, unemployment, and unplanned pregnancies among current and emancipated foster youth. In 2020, he furthered this mission at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, ensuring adults with disabilities had access to the resources and support needed to live with independence and self-determination.
Terelle’s diverse background, unwavering commitment to advocacy, and deep compassion for others allow him to connect with people from all walks of life. He believes in a holistic approach built on trust, transparency, and respect. Terelle is excited to bring his passion and expertise to Colorado and is proud to make Denver and Assurance Guardianship and Care Services his new home.
